I want to send warm wishes to you for this festive season, whatever that is for you.
If you're lucky and have a family that you love being with, may you bask in connection and belonging and enjoy those flourishing elements being richly nourished. Take a moment to feel grateful for this random good fortune.
If you're not so lucky, I offer you this post. Seeing and hearing those around us enjoying the warmth of togetherness with a group to which they so reliably belong, can rub salt into the wound of lack when we don't have this.
When the images around us assume that we all have happy, harmonious families to which we joyfully return at this time, not having one can be stiflingly painful. We can have a sense that no-one wants to hear about it.
To all those who feel empty, lonely, or disconnected on Christmas Day, I send heartfelt good wishes. I also send a reminder that our body-minds don't care where we get our connection and belonging from, as long as we get it. It doesn't have to be from family!
Perhaps 2025 might be the year of further nourishing your life with friendship?
Wishing you all joy, contentment, and a good dose of PAR time this festive season.

P.S. If you know someone who's not so lucky on the family front this Christmas, perhaps you could send them this post.
